When it comes to support the pleasure is all ours!
At Aldeburgh House we try to introduce new activities and day trips regularly for the individuals we support. Enabling them to try new things and go places they haven’t previously visited. We recently undertook a trip to see all the animals at ‘Jimmy’s Farm’, in Suffolk, which is not too far from our Service. Sharon, Thomas & Barry enjoyed looking at all the animals and the fun facts that were provided about the animals. Once finished looking around and taking copious photos we discussed where to eat, with options including; with the sheep, butterfly’s or goats!
People weren’t too pleased with the hay buffet on offer, so together we decided the local ‘Harvester’ would be best. We had a lovely meal before heading home. Once back home at Aldeburgh House, Sharon gave one Support Worker a hug and said; “Today was amazing, thank you.” And of course, we said; “You’re welcome”, but what Sharon didn’t realise is that it’s our pleasure as Support Workers to be able to take them places they have never been and see them enjoy themselves.
