If you are involved in commissioning support and accommodation for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, there are a host of events in the learning disability calendar to keep you up to date, inspired and involved.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY
With contributions from a range of providers including Consensus, strategic commissioners, ADASS Leads and Transforming Care Leads “Choice is Key” opened up strong debate and opinion and challenged perceptions about models of care, optimum size models and new service investment.
THE RIGHT SUPPORT
The public commitment from NHS England after Winterbourne view to reduce inpatient provision and develop community services has been a long journey. The CQC’s subsequent consultation document “Registering the right support” has led to long and emotive consultation with providers. Consensus has been actively part of the consultation through Care England and LD Voices.
