Introducing our three new innovative services for people with  learning disabilities and complex needs including Prader-Willi Syndrome

Ensuring bespoke provision in London and the surrounding areas can be a big challenge due to a lack of land to build on and in London particularly the huge number of diverse boroughs and their very bespoke local needs.

Working in partnership with local commissioners we have had to think very differently to bring about innovation and change and are delighted to share, through a series of interactive tours, videos and interviews how we designed and developed new services in London & Surrey.

We believe that people with complex needs should have the same choices and opportunities to live a meaningful life, close to their families, just as those in less urban areas.

Introducing our three unique new services…

Our video sees Allyson Kay, Divisional Director for East of England and London introduce Stanley Park Road, Wallington, Upper Park Road, Camberley and Bear Road, Hanworth (a new bespoke Prader-Willi Syndrome service); how we spearheaded their design and development to meet local needs and the local authority’s vision for bespoke support in their region. Highlighting the challenges along the way and the new design features that truly make the difference to individuals with complex needs our aim was simple – to ensure a quality place to live that anyone would be proud to call home.

What does life at Consensus look like…

Our team of Quality Checkers work hard to ensure all of the individuals we support have opportunity, choice and success. They visit all 96 of our services across the UK, Wales and Scotland following an audit process and making friendships along the way.

“Party in the Park” was in celebration of giving the people we support an opportunity to enjoy a break away by the sea, try new activities and new opportunities. For some this was the first time they had experienced going away on a holiday with their support team.

And lots of fun…

Our highly experienced support teams embrace our ethos of supporting opportunity, choice and success in all that they do. They often come up with fun, innovative and thoughtful ways of keeping the people they support safe, happy and involved in decision making too!
