Our aim is to ensure that in this wide-ranging geographical region, new service provision is relevant and sustainable. Developing new services in London, unlike say a service in a more rural location in the East of England counties can be a big challenge due to a lack of land to build on and the huge number of diverse London boroughs and their very bespoke local needs.
Working in partnership with local commissioners we have had to think very differently to bring about innovation and change and are delighted to share, through a series of interactive tours, videos and interviews how we designed and developed new services in the East of England and London.
Introducing our new services in London
Our video sees Allyson Kay, Divisional Director for East of England and London introduce Stanley Park Road – Wallington, London and Bear Road – Hanworth, London (our Prader-Willi Syndrome service) as well as Upper Park Road – Camberley, Surrey just outside London. Ally explains how we spearheaded their design and development to meet local needs and the local authority’s vision for bespoke support in their region. Highlighting the challenges along the way and the new design features that truly make the difference to individuals with complex needs our aim was simple – to ensure a quality place to live that anyone would be proud to call home.

Sharing her thoughts, views and creativity for service delivery…
Driving innovation and creativity in how we deliver new developments across the region. Ally talks about Consensus’ ‘people led’ culture, being ahead of the curve, the importance in bringing people back to their communities, supporting a smooth transition into adulthood and our vision for the future.
Friendships…
Our team of Quality Checkers work hard to ensure all of the individuals we support have opportunity, choice and success. They visit all 96 of our services across the UK, Wales and Scotland following an audit process and making friendships along the way.
Holidays…
“Party in the Park” was in celebration of giving the people we support an opportunity to enjoy a break away by the sea, try new activities and new opportunities. For some this was the first time they had experienced going away on a holiday with their support team.
And lots of fun…
Our highly experienced support teams embrace our ethos of supporting opportunity, choice and success in all that they do. They often come up with fun, innovative and thoughtful ways of keeping the people they support safe, happy and involved in decision making too!
