The Grange’s Manager, Jill, announced as a finalist in the National Care Awards 2018
We are proud to announce that Consensus colleague, Jill Cowdry is among those shortlisted in the National Care Awards which return for the 20th consecutive year and will culminate with a distinguished, black tie, Awards Presentation Dinner on Friday 30 November 2018 at the outstanding Hilton London Metropole, on the Edgware Road.
Jill Cowdry, Service Manager, of ‘The Grange’, in Carmarthenshire, has been shortlisted in the category ‘Learning Disability Service Manager’. This award recognises outstanding managers (or deputy) within a residential care setting, day care service or sheltered housing complex, where more than 50 per cent of those supported have learning disabilities, who has initiated, maintained or developed an exceptional service for the benefit of those they support.
Jill has over 20 years’ experience in Health and Social Care and plays a huge role in motivating her team and in ensuring she and her team improve the quality of life for all who live at ‘The Grange.’
In nominating Jill, Behaviour Practitioner Gayle Thomas said, “It is with great pleasure I give my support to Jill for this award. Since joining the organisation, I have observed the highest levels of person-centred practice and a genuine drive to support people with learning disabilities achieve their goals and empower them in having as much choice and control of their own lives as possible.”
The National Care Awards is the longest established Annual Awards and is organised by social care’s leading publication, Caring Times. The Awards were devised to celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care. This year there are 18 categories overall.
The National Care Awards Judging day took place on the 12th October 2018 at the London Hilton Metropole.
