We are proud to announce that our support team at Heatherington House in Kettering are among those shortlisted in the National Care Awards which return for the 20th consecutive year and will culminate with a distinguished, black tie, Awards Presentation Dinner on Friday 30 November 2018 at the outstanding Hilton London Metropole, on the Edgware Road.

Margaret Elliott, Service Manager and her team at Heatherington House, have been shortlisted in the category ‘Care Team of the Year’. This award recognises care teams who have developed and maintained an outstanding standard of care and team ethos within any care setting.

Margaret herself was awarded ‘Learning Disability Service Manager of the Year’ just last year at the same awards and is hugely proud that her team have been recognised and shortlisted for this year’s awards.

Heatherington House was named in the carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards (East Midlands) 2018 which highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK, based on over 75,000 reviews from residents and friends/families of residents.

Rated outstanding for being responsive on an inspection visit by the regulatory body CQC, inspectors stated; “The service provided exceptionally person-centred care which helped people to make remarkable changes to their health and general well- being.”

The National Care Awards is the longest established Annual Awards and is organised by social care’s leading publication, Caring Times. The Awards were devised to celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care. This year there are 18 categories overall.

The National Care Awards Judging day took place on the 12th October 2018 at the London Hilton Metropole.
