Sun sea and smiles in Skegness
Support colleagues at The Brambles in Wellingborough, recently organised a day trip for five people they support to Skegness.
It was a warm, bright sunny morning when they drove to Skegness, arriving around 11am. Not wanting to waste any of their time, they took a wander around the area to see what was about and of interest.
Feeling by then a bit hungry they started with fish and chips by the sea. Having finished their lunch, they then strolled onto the beach hoping to have some fun. With smiles very evident everyone went in the sea and built sand castles.
Next up was a visit to Fantasy Island, a big amusement park with lots of rides. Having looked at all the rides a couple of the supported individuals felt brave enough to go on a few. Of course, a great day out would not be complete without a bit of souvenir shopping and so everyone headed off to purchase a small memento that would help remind them of their great day out before beginning the long two-and-a-half-hour journey home.
