The thinking behind Stanley Park Road…
Our Divisional Director for the East of England and London, Allyson Kay, talks about the exciting innovative new development, Stanley Park Road and the unique flat based model offering an enhanced person centred residential service.
What are the benefits of Stanley Park Road?
Stanley Park Road is for people who may be living away from home at the moment, either in a more secure environment or perhaps an education provision who are coming back to live nearer their family, nearer to their friends within their local community and who are going to be supported to develop their skills, develop their independence and have a good quality of life.
For individuals living at Stanley Park Road they can benefit from spending a period of time in residential care for a variety of reasons. They may have behaviours that represent a risk to themselves or others; they may not be in a position to manage the obligations of a tenancy or they may simply be looking to develop their skills and confidence to move on to supported living in the future. There is also the opportunity for two individuals to flat share together in our two bedroom ‘self-contained flats’, enabling them to share their life experiences and grow together.
Ground floor: Three self-contained flats (1 x 1 bedroom and 2 x 2 bedroom), a lift and a separate communal area for all 9 individuals to socialise in outside of their self-contained flat
First floor: Three self-contained flats (2 x 1 bedroom and 1 x 2 bedroom)

As well as Stanley Park Road, we also developed a new supported living service in Camberley to provide a range of support options across the region. Working in partnership with local commissioners Belinda Robinson explains how we were able to rise to the challenge to design and develop quality, person-centred settings for the best possible outcomes.
