New State of the Art Residential Service Now Open!

Finding appropriate accommodation and support for individuals with a learning disability and complex needs can be a multi-faceted challenge – individuals can often require individualised living spaces to minimise environmental triggers while also needing the enhanced support, safety and structure of a residential setting.

Stanley Park Road is a really good example that demonstrates how Consensus is at the leading edge of being able to deliver new services which meet local needs within the London boroughs.

Providing individualised accommodation in one and two bedroom flats, this bright, modern residential setting designed to not look like a care home, showcases the use of technologies and creativity to provide a stunning environment that enables people with very different needs to co-exist within the service without diminishing the quality provided to all.

What are the benefits of Stanley Park Road?

Stanley Park Road is for people who may be living away from home at the moment, either in a more secure environment or perhaps an education provision who are coming back to live nearer their family, nearer to their friends within their local community and who are going to be supported to develop their skills, develop their independence and have a good quality of life.

For individuals living at Stanley Park Road they can benefit from spending a period of time in residential care for a variety of reasons. They may have behaviours that represent a risk to themselves or others; they may not be in a position to manage the obligations of a tenancy or they may simply be looking to develop their skills and confidence to move on to supported living in the future. There is also the opportunity for two individuals to flat share together in our two bedroom ‘self-contained flats’, enabling them to share their life experiences and grow together.

Ground floor: Three self-contained flats (1 x 1 bedroom and 2 x 2 bedroom),  a lift and a separate communal area for all 9 individuals to socialise in outside of their self-contained flat

As well as Stanley Park Road, we also developed a new supported living service in Camberley to provide a range of support options across the region. Working in partnership with local commissioners Belinda Robinson explains how we were able to rise to the challenge to design and develop quality, person-centred settings for the best possible outcomes.
