Snow drawbacks to having fun at the Panto

January 2, 2018

Three people, Kerry, Philip and Sally supported by Windsor Avenue, in Desborough, went to the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering to watch Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs panto in December.

The early afternoon looked very cold and so their three support colleagues Sam, Amie, and Josey, made sure everyone was wrapped up nice and warm before setting off together as a group. Each person had chosen to go to watch the Christmas themed panto, this being something they do every year during the festive season.

They travelled to Kettering via the service’s mini bus, which an additional colleague drove. The Lighthouse Theatre was selected as it offers wheelchair friendly access, with lift access to the upper levels and accessible facilities on all floors, this in addition to free parking and level access to the building. The staff at the theatre were helpful and very friendly upon arrival showing everyone to the upper level floor where they were seated. The performance lasted two and a half hours with an interval in between for everyone to enjoy some light refreshments and snacks.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance, smiling and laughing throughout. Favourite bits included the singing and dancing. Kerry and Philip said they enjoyed the panto and Sally smiled throughout, sharing lots of giggles.
