Sharing our expertise in dietary management at the PWSA UK National Conference 2018
Consensus Gretton are pleased to be supporting the PWSA UK National Conference 2018 which takes places at the Hayes Conference Centre in Alfreton, Derbyshire on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October.
The two-day event brings together parents, carers, professionals and children and adults with PWS to catch up with old friends, make new ones, share experiences and listen to leading PWS experts as they share their specialist knowledge, insights and advice.
Consensus Gretton will be taking part in the Conference’s Sunday Programme, for those with young people and adults aged 16 plus. Two experienced colleagues, Lisa and Karina Carvell, will be taking to the stage during the afternoon session to share practical advice on dietary management for adults with PWS. Members of the team will also be at the Consensus Gretton stand throughout the day to answer questions and offer information and advice on our range of PWS accommodation and support.
Other experts taking part in the Sunday programme include Professor Tony Holland, who will be giving a presentation on Vagus Nerve research, as well as leading a discussion around behaviour and Mental Health; and Dr Tony Goldstone -Hammersmith clinic, who will be presenting on medical issues affecting adults with PWS and leading a Q & A session on the same subject.
While the conference is a great opportunity for the PWS community to update themselves with the latest PWS news and developments, the event is also a key social event in the PWS calendar with plenty of fun activities planned over the two days, including a pamper room, a “Tiger Feet” dance class, a drumming workshop, Saturday night party and the ever-popular bingo session.
Consensus Gretton are also pleased to be launching an exclusive prize draw for individuals with PWS and their parents/guardians, at the conference. The top prize of a weekend break in London for four includes; a Saturday night stay in a Central London hotel with tickets to the View from the Shard or the London Eye; tickets to a theatre show of their choice, plus the option of experiencing either a river Thames cruise or one Winter Wonderland attraction.
To enter, attendees simply need to fill out the prize draw entry form in their delegate packs and return it to the Consensus Gretton stand or the Conference registration desk. The winner will be selected at random and announced via the Consensus website and newsletter.
