The positive changes at Clare House since the arrival of a new Deputy Manager
May 25, 2021
Clare House, Consensus’ residential service located in Dunblane, Stirlingshire, was the first service in Scotland to exclusively provide support for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS).
PWS is a rare, genetic disorder affecting one in 15,000 people in the UK. While the condition is characterised by a chronic feeling of hunger, which can lead to life threatening obesity if not properly managed, individuals with PWS can also experience a range of cognitive, behavioural and physical challenges. Every individual’s experience of living with PWS is unique.
When Charlotte Whyte (Charli), first became Deputy Manager of Clare House in January 2021, little did she know the positive changes and overall impact she would have on the service.
