Read about life at our supported living service in Bedford, Valley House
Valley House is a Supported Living service in Bedford that provides support and accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
Consisting of seven individual flats, the service has an excellent track record of supporting individuals who are leaving hospital settings and need an intensive level of support to ensure that their transition into the community is a safe and sustainable one.
Service Manager, Omobola (Bola) Ojo has been leading the service for the last two and a half years. She is responsible for setting the tone for the support and care received, ensuring it is always of the highest standard and geared towards supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes. Bola’s leadership has played a pivotal role in fostering a friendly, warm atmosphere and an open and transparent culture, where people, their loved ones, and the support team are encouraged to express their views.
Here we talk to Team Leader, Chloe Pickering who has worked at Valley House for four and a half years, about the service, its culture, the specialist knowledge of the support team and the positive outcomes of the individuals they support.
