Quiz Night At Gretton Village Hall
Gretton Homes organised and hosted a fundraising Quiz night at the Gretton Village Hall recently, as a way of getting together with colleagues, others who live in the village as well as additional friends and family. Over 100 people attended, and a great night was had by all. All the proceeds will go to the Prader Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA). Tickets sold prior to the evening included sausage and chips but guests were invited to bring their own refreshments.
The raffle on the night caused quite a stir with an amazing array of prizes on offer which were received from a number of generous donors. Sue Croker, a Domestic House Manager at Gretton House had told her son about the various activities she was helping to organise for people supported by Gretton Homes throughout the year and how parents of many of the supported individuals often donate prizes for Bingo, Quizzes and other events. Kevin Johnston, Sue’s son was moved by this and very kindly and generously donated a wide range of gifts he’d personally bought from House of Fraser. Toiletry gift sets, Radley notebooks, a Star Wars cushion, and much, much, more were donated.
Karen Wilkinson, Fundraising Manager for the PWSA was very pleased to hear how the event went and said, “Glad you all had a good night and well done to Eve’s team for winning the quiz. What a good turn out that must have taken some organising. I am sure you all had a really good night. I just wanted to thank you for all the effort I know it takes to set up these things, very well done.”
Eve Price who organised the Quiz night would like to thank everyone who came and supported the PWSA. The final figure for fund raising from the Gretton quiz night was £445.70.
Gretton Homes regularly fundraise for the PWSA as this organisation is close to the heart of the individuals supported at Gretton Homes.
