Empowering the people we support…

The ‘Putting People First’/ Personalisation Award seeks to recognise a team who have embraced the personalisation agenda and can demonstrate an innovative approach to empowering people to have more control over the support they need in their lives.

At Consensus, we employ some of our supported individuals with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs, as Quality Checkers who work alongside our Quality Audit team. They are paid employees of Consensus and are an important and integral part of our workforce. Over the last year, the Quality Checkers have made an exceptional contribution to the lives of the individuals we support, ensuring their voice is always at the heart of our continuous improvement initiatives, and taking the lead on projects that support their wellbeing and quality of life and we are delighted that they are finalists for this award.

Congratulations to Jackie Preston, Best Practice & Operational Support Manager and our team of Quality Checkers who head to the East of England Awards dinner in Peterborough.
