Our 7 Suffolk services receive positive feedback from Suffolk Council

August 4, 2022

Our supported living and residential services in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk support people who have learning disabilities, autism and a range of complex needs. Some people may also have physical disabilities.

Shayne Mills is the Service Manager of two of our supported living services in Ipswich. He was thrilled when he received some very positive feedback from Chelsea, Suffolk County Councils ‘Contracts and Service Development Officer’ for all the Consensus services in Suffolk. Chelsea and her team are responsible for ensuring the services that people live in meet their needs in a safe and supportive environment.

Chelsea along with her line manager visited 2 of our residential services and 5 of our supported living services. Chelsea said, “The Consensus properties in Ipswich are all in good condition and feel homely. A consistent theme we have noticed throughout is that they are all very personalised to the people that are living there, which is what we love to see as it is their home and not a workplace. The support teams have also been really welcoming and friendly.”

Shayne was over the moon when Chelsea fed back, he says “It was clear they could see the commitment from all the support teams to make the environments homely, bright and personalised. They were also happy and confident we were meeting the needs of all the people we support living at the services and overwhelmed with the evidence provided for the individuals short, medium, and long-term goals.”

Well done to all 7 of our services in Suffolk for your continued hard work and commitment in enabling the people we support to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Learn more about our services in Suffolk here – https://www.consensussupport.com/county/suffolk/
