Find out what life at Prader-Willi Syndrome service Perrywood House is like
Perrywood House is a friendly residential service located in Kettering, Northamptonshire supporting male and female adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). PWS is a rare, genetic disorder affecting one in 15,000 people in the UK. While the condition is characterised by a chronic feeling of hunger and a range of cognitive, behavioural and physical challenges, every individual’s experience of living with the condition is unique.
At Perrywood, the manager and support team are always looking at new ways of supporting people with Prader-Willi Syndrome to achieve great outcomes. They use Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) to help the individuals engage in meaningful activity, encouraging them to gain greater control over their lives and experience greater levels of opportunity choice and success.
