Ipswich Supported Living Service proud to be a finalist in the Great British Care Awards 2017
Consensus brings home a finalist for Suffolk at the Great British (East of England) Care Awards
An Ipswich based service, that provides support and accommodation for people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and physical disabilities, is very proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist at The Great East of England Care Awards 2017.
Melany Castillo and her team have been shortlisted for the award at regional finals of The Great British Care Awards, to be held in Peterborough in November.
They have been nominated for the award thanks to the non-stop compliments they receive from individuals, families and health/social care professionals, resulting in one member of the team recently winning the Special Recognition Award in the Suffolk Care Awards.
Melany Castillo, Manager of the service said; “I am extremely proud of my team and how hard they all work. At Consensus, we focus on training and recruiting colleagues who share our values and who are passionate about supporting individuals to live as active and meaningful life as possible within the local community.”
As a strong dedicated team colleagues support up to nine individuals in a supported living setting. They help individuals to identify how they can be supported to develop their skills and reach their goals and aspirations.
Individuals require varying levels of support for specific needs and achieving greater independence and strong positive relationships with support workers and family networks are actively encouraged.
