Heatherington House named in the top 20 care homes in the East Midlands

We are extremely proud to announce that our service, Heatherington House, belonging to Consensus Support has just been awarded a ‘Top 20 Recommended Care Home 2018’.

The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards (East Midlands) 2018 highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK. Heatherington House is no stranger to awards with Margaret Elliott, Service Manager, being recognised in late 2017 with the ‘Learning Disability Services Manager’ of the Year Award at the highly prestigious ‘National Care Awards.’

Rated outstanding for being responsive on an inspection visit by the regulatory body CQC, inspectors stated; “The service provided exceptionally person-centred care which helped people to make remarkable changes to their health and general well- being.

People told the CQC numerous stories of just how much difference the care they received had made to them; sometimes even changing their lives for the better, giving them a new lease of life. Devoted colleagues provide bespoke care and support, tailored to people’s individual needs, based on their likes, dislikes and individual preferences. The team worked effortlessly to encourage and stimulate people to consider doing things they might not have done previously, not recognising barriers and making things possible for people.”
