Hazel gets her kilt on for charity
Hazel who lives at Clare House in Scotland, donned her tartan outfit and best walking shoes to take on The Edinburgh Kiltwalk – a 4-mile adventure round the Scottish capital, ending at the iconic Murrayfield stadium!
Hazel spent months preparing – training on exercise bikes and taking off on long walks to get herself ready. And her hard work clearly paid off, she finished the trek in just an hour and a half! Key worker Sally said, “I’m so proud of Hazel and her amazing achievement in completing the walk in such a brilliant time.”
Hazel had an amazing time speaking to the other walkers, seeing the wonderful costumes, and taking in the beautiful sights – but Hazel used this opportunity to raise £139.80 for the PWSA, a charity she said has helped her a lot throughout her life and she was excited to have the chance to give back to.
“I loved it and would do it all over again.” – see you next year, Edinburgh!
