The Gables Home Manager Shortlisted For National Learning Disability & Autism Awards
We are delighted to announce that Liz Smith, Home Manager at the Gables a residential home in Littleport near Ely, Suffolk, which provides nursing care for sixteen individuals with learning disabilities and additional very complex needs, has been shortlisted for the Learning Disability Nurse Award in this year’s National Learning Disability and Autism Awards.
The National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards celebrate excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities and aim to pay tribute to those individuals or organisations who excel in providing quality care.
Judging will take place on the 25th May 2016 followed by a Gala event being held at the ICC, Birmingham on Thursday 14th July 2016.
Liz has been employed by Consensus who own the Gables for almost 7 years and a qualified Nurse since 1971, working in a variety of fields including emergency Nursing. Throughout her career, Liz has always advocated for the individuals she supports, her values are exemplary. Liz is dedicated to life-long learning, developing herself and her team, and recently completed her QCF 5 in Leadership and management.
