Life for Debbie, an individual with learning disabilities, personality disorder and complex needs has had its share of ups and downs. Debbie spent her childhood in care then on reaching adulthood she moved into her own flat but due to her vulnerability she was frequently burgled and had to give the flat up. Debbie was then moved to a long stay hospital, where with nowhere else to go she spent the next 23 years of her life.

With the support of the Consensus team in the North, Debbie was able to achieve her vision for her life – living in her very own home within the community.
