Deansbrook celebrates five years of success
Everyone at Deansbrook took the opportunity to celebrate five years of success last week with an afternoon extravaganza at the service.
Deansbrook was set up and registered five years ago and has since achieved notable success in helping people with complex needs to achieve longer term stability and, in some cases, move on to a supported living tenancy.
The celebratory event, which had been months in the planning, featured a marquee, a bouncy castle and a picnic area for everyone to enjoy the spectacular spread of cakes, cupcakes, scones and sandwiches. Guests included people and staff from three fellow Consensus services within Essex. Also in attendance were local councillors, the learning disability community nurse and the Managing Director of Consensus, James Allen.
The atmosphere on the day was one of commitment, inspiration and pride, with speeches given by James Allen, Deansbrook Manager Elizabeth Vincent and one of the people supported, before a number of awards were presented and finally a toast to five years of success.
