Consensus Support Services Recognised with a National Award

August 1, 2011

Leading learning disabilities support provider, Consensus Support Services, has been recognised as the best specialist care provider at the Health Investor Awards 2011.

Over 1000 guests from the UK’s health and social care sector attended the awards, which were hosted by broadcaster Jon Snow, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Central London last week.

Entries in 21 categories covering both the private and public sectors were judged by a 12-strong panel of independent industry experts and the night was an opportunity for leading figures in the sector to come together to celebrate the positive difference that people in the sector make to the lives of people up and down the country.

Consensus Support Services, part of the Caring Homes Group, supports 500 people in over 80 locations across the UK.  With specialist services designed to support each individual’s unique needs, dedicated staff work with all the people we support to provide opportunities that enable them to make their own choices and achieve positive outcomes.

Collecting the Award on behalf of Consensus was Managing Director, James Allen, who commented:

“Everyone at Consensus is absolutely thrilled that we have been recognised in this way.

“Winning the award for Best Specialist Care Provider, for something that we are all so passionate about, is very exciting and not a little humbling.

“At Consensus, we are dedicated to enabling the people we support to lead happy and fulfilling lives and it’s wonderful to have the work and devotion of all our staff celebrated in this way.”

Paul Jeffery, CEO, Caring Homes Group commented:

“I’d like to congratulate the Consensus team for winning this award which is testament to the staff’s hard work, dedication and commitment.

“Our belief is that everybody can do amazing things and see our job as helping people to achieve their full potential

“Being recognised for our work in helping people to achieve their full potential and to start them on the journey towards greater independence in this way is a fantastic achievement.”
