Consensus Gretton support PWS Awareness Month through their #PWSandme campaign

May 24, 2018

Throughout May, Consensus Gretton, who provide specialist PWS support and accommodation services for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome, (PWS) have been supporting PWS Awareness Month, May 2018, through the #PWSandme Campaign which aims to help spread awareness of the condition by looking beyond PWS to the people whose lives have been touched by it.

PWS is a rare genetic disorder that is characterised by an excessive appetite and a range of cognitive, behavioural and emotional challenges. Raising awareness is vital to maintaining a worldwide community network of support for individuals with PWS and their families, as well as to raise funds for ongoing research into the condition.

Through emotive film, interviews and testimonies the campaign tells real and tangible stories of what it is like for those living with PWS, their families and their support workers. From overcoming difficult times to sharing their proudest moments, there is much insight, inspiration and hope to be gained from listening to the stories of all those who have kindly participated in our #PWSandme campaign whose aim was to share their personal experiences to help others.

Do take a look at our campaign page and spread the word.
