Consensus attends the ‘Big Event’ with Richmond Learning Disability Partnership Board

April 7, 2016

Belinda Robinson, Consensus Head of Development & Partnerships and Annie Wenminishi, our team lead at King Edwards Grove were delighted to attend the Richmond Learning Disability Partnership Board ‘Big Event’ recently.

The event was fully inclusive promoting services to individuals, friends, family members and professionals within Richmond to give advice on what is available in the local area including support and accommodation options, advice services, employment and education opportunities, health services, and sports & leisure activities for individuals with a learning disability.

Belinda and Annie met with a number of influential people such as Tania Mathias, MP for Twickenham, Councillor David Marlow, Strategic Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health and the new Interim Head of Richmond Commissioning Team. Wandsworth & Richmond are in the process of combining their adult social care service teams and so Belinda offered the new Interim Head of Richmond Commissioning team the opportunity to visit some of our services as part of his ‘getting to know’ tour.

It provided Consensus with an ideal opportunity to network and provide further awareness of our services within the local community as well as support a local Partnership Board initiative.

Consensus place great importance on keeping up to date with national and local strategy and what effects these strategies have on the people we support, the success of Consensus and on all of us as individuals.
