Coming together for afternoon tea
Gretton House, in Northamptonshire, recently hosted an afternoon tea for the people they support and their families.
The event came about because team members felt they had not hosted a big event of this type for a few years, and thought both individuals, families and colleagues would thoroughly enjoy getting together and putting faces to names of a relatively new team, following a few retirements and promotions.
The team wanted the afternoon to be relaxed and the event was a great success. Guests were greeted with ‘Pimms’ and non-alcoholic punch on arrival, whilst music played. Providing an insight into life at Gretton House people supported created display boards which showcased stories and photos of everyone enjoying life at Gretton House. Sharon, Service Manager of the service, gave a welcome speech which was followed by afternoon tea.
Soo many compliments on the food were received, which was wonderful as it did look and taste amazing!! Although the sun didn’t shine brightly, and the wind proved a little bit of a challenge, it stayed dry and everyone remained outside to enjoy the company, food, music and stories, making plenty of new friends and acquaintances.
