The Brambles going from strength to strength as they are rated good in all areas by CQC

The Brambles, who specialises in supporting adults with Learning Disability and a range of complex needs in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, has been rated as ‘Good’ in all areas, according to its latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The Brambles was praised by inspectors, for providing a safe, effective, caring, responsive service and well led service.

The report said: “The support workers cared for people with kindness and compassion. Trusting partnerships were forged and the support workers and relatives worked in collaboration to care for people using the service. People and their families were fully involved and in control of their care. The care plans were detailed and reflected people’s needs and choices on how they wanted their care and support to be provided.”

One relative said, “I am very involved in the care of my [family member] the staff always involve me in any decisions that need to be made”.

The report continued: “There was an open and positive culture which focused on meeting people’s individual needs. There were good links with the local community.”

Gina Okeke, Manager at The Brambles, said: “The team are all extremely happy at the praise we received from inspectors in the report following their visit to The Brambles in February 2016. All of our colleagues, supported individuals and families work well together to support each other and it is pleasingly to see that our service has been rated so highly by the CQC.”

The Brambles is a large detached property with spacious gardens, specialising in providing accommodation and personal support for ten younger adults with Learning Disability and a range of complex needs.
