The Grange, situated within walking distance of Carmarthen town offers support and accommodation in a friendly, welcoming residential setting for up to six individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
A large Grade II listed building within its own pleasant grounds, there are six en-suite bedrooms, two comfortable lounges, conservatory, activity room, sensory room and an enclosed garden with a swing and trampoline. The team are highly experienced in positive behavioural management interventions and supporting those with highly complex needs and this is reflected in the positive, supportive environment at the Grange.
Individuals are encouraged to access and enjoy their chosen opportunities and activities and these can include: horse riding, swimming, beach walks, shopping, visits to the cinema, development of arts and crafts skills as well as hydrotherapy sessions.
Regular informal meetings are held with supported individuals to discuss all aspects of their home – from how it is run to having their own areas of responsibility and putting forward new ideas. Independent living is encouraged in a person-centred way where individuals are supported to learn new skills ranging from nutrition and preparing meals to managing a budget and using public transport safely to access the community.
Life at The Grange is very sociable with many themed events and parties organised throughout the year by the people who live there. Family and friends are always warmly welcomed. With good transport links such as a bus and train station only 10 minutes’ walk away, involvement in the community and the social and leisure activities Carmarthen has to offer is actively encouraged.

The Grange is a fantastic warm, welcome service. The staff members at The Grange are dedicated to achieving the highest outcomes and the home generally has a positive vibe. All individuals are well cared for and are always appearing to engage in various activities. The home is decorated in a homely manner and is modernised and individualised.Private carer of supported individual - September 2015
From what I have seen and over heard, they offer facilities to ensure that the people they look after get to do what they want, when ever they want. The people have opportunity to do various activities and also have the opportunity to go on holiday with dedicated staff members that know and care for them. This is a home to be proud of that goes above and beyond the call of duty in their role as a support worker.Private Carer of supperted individual - July 2015
