Our new purpose-built supported living service in central Camberley, Surrey provides a discreet, safe environment to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge.

This service is aimed at supporting younger people, especially those moving into adult life and will also meet the needs of individuals who are seen as part of the Transforming Care Agenda locally. Each individual will have their own tenancy and a separate support package based on an assessment of their individualised needs.

The home provides a mixture of one and two bedroom flats (nine in total) which can be furnished and personalised around individual’s preferences. The kitchens are equipped with washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, oven and induction hob and there are also communal spaces and a large garden.

Three of the ground floor flats have their own private garden space. All floors are accessible via a lift and stairs and have assisted technology installed too.

Environmental triggers are at the forefront of this build with sound proofing, underfloor heating, low arousal colour schemes, high frequency lighting, anodised aluminium for light switches/sockets as well as consideration of sensory sensitivities – matt/silk instead of gloss and no shiny surfaces.

Through their person centred, bespoke support plan, every individual is supported to have opportunities, choice and success in their life and to live their life in the way they choose. Everyone will have their own space, receiving the personalised support they need, whilst also having the option to interact and socialise with others throughout the day.
