There is a homely, positive atmosphere at 24a Main Road and each person living there is supported to achieve the goals and aspirations that are important to them. Spacious and comfortable, there are eight modern en-suite bedrooms and pleasant communal areas including two lounges, one of which overlooks the large garden. For people who wish to live more independently, there is also a one bedroom flat with independent access. There is wheelchair access for individuals who also have physical disabilities and mobility issues.

Individuals are encouraged to be a part of their local community and to enjoy leisure and social activities of their choice. Nearby Shrewsbury has many amenities including cafes, restaurants, a library and leisure facilities and there are good transport links near the home.

We place great importance on helping people learn new skills by encouraging them to take an active interest in the running of the home with their own areas of responsibility. This helps improve daily living skills and confidence and as greater independence is achieved we update support plans with the individual to make sure we are maximising their choices and opportunities.

Transition into the home is carefully planned at the individual’s own pace and we encourage other people living there to share their experiences. Friends and family are always welcome to visit and join in events and activities.
