Kingston House is a friendly, homely residential service in Leigh-on-Sea, near Southend for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and complex needs.

On the pleasant Essex Coast, Kingston House has nine bedrooms across three floors and has a nurturing, caring home from home environment. The team at Kingston House take a person centred approach to support individual’s bespoke needs.

The focus is very much on inclusion and living a meaningful, fulfilling life. Person centred goals and achievements, big and small, are always encouraged as is greater independence and choice on a daily basis.

Individuals are supported to develop their daily living skills such as washing, shopping, cleaning and cooking which helps increase skills, confidence and self-esteem.

Lots of activities take place including cooking, arts and crafts, games nights, DVD nights and a whole host of themed, seasonal events and parties for all to enjoy. Family members and friends are always welcome to join us at events or visit on other occasions.

With good local and on-site transport, the team support individuals to enjoy all the leisure and social activities in nearby Southend which match their interests and goals. This includes swimming, bowling, visiting the beach and various activity clubs.

Some individuals also study English, Makaton, Arts and dance projects at the local college.
