On the pleasant South Coast, Huntley is a Victorian character property with eight bedrooms which has recently been refurbished. With a nurturing, positive, easy-going environment, the team at Huntley take a person centred approach to support individual’s bespoke needs.

The focus is very much on inclusion, enjoying interests and having fun. Person centred goals and achievements, big and small are always encouraged as is greater independence and choice on a daily basis. Individuals are supported to develop their daily living skills such as washing, shopping and cooking to increase their skills and confidence.

Lots of activities take place within the home including cooking, aromatherapy, music, DVD nights and games for all to enjoy. Huntley also has an arts and craft room.

With good transport links and transport facilities on site, the team also support individuals to enjoy the many leisure and social activities in Worthing which match their interests and goals. This includes swimming, going to the cinema, bowling, visiting night clubs and restaurants.

The people we support are also involved in raising funds for a local charity and some attend the local college to learn new skills.

Support plans are regularly reviewed to ensure that the people we support are living their life in the way they wish to and enjoying activities of their choice. Regular visits from family and friends are warmly welcomed.

It’s a good place to work, it’s hard work at times but I go home smiling. We have a good management team and good staff, everyone’s supportive and we get along well as part of the team.
