The team have a positive, caring attitude and are dedicated to supporting individual’s complex needs and providing tailored, person-centred support.

Some individuals require support with personal care and have profound needs.

The focus at Four Winds is very much on supporting greater independence and helping individuals live their life in the way they wish to, enjoying activities of their choice.

Regular activities such as arts and crafts and gardening projects take place at the home as well as BBQs and themed seasonal events which friends and family are welcome to attend.

Individuals can enjoy leisure and social activities in nearby Brightlingsea including; shopping, going to restaurants and the local pool and the team have good links with local skills development centres.

Four Winds also has good access to the larger towns of Clacton-on-sea and Colchester and their many amenities.

Great importance is placed on learning new skills and helping everyone to take an active interest in the running of the home where they have their own responsibilities. This helps improve daily living skills and confidence and as greater independence is achieved, support plans are updated with the individual to maximise their choices and opportunities.
