Brighton Road has a lovely family atmosphere thanks to the people that are supported there. They are a close-knit, yet friendly group who take pride in maintaining their home and enjoying many activities together. The team take a flexible approach to meeting individual’s bespoke needs, nurturing them to fulfill their goals and aspirations at their own pace.
Accommodation is spread across three floors and is very spacious with two comfortable lounges, a dining room and a large, pleasant garden ideal for many sports and activities to take place. The team are dedicated to supporting greater independence and developing individual’s daily living, social and life skills and individuals have their own areas of responsibility in the running of the home such as gardening and baking.
Support is person centred with a focus on inclusion and well-being. Regular social activities take place within the home such as movie nights, arts and crafts, outdoor games and games evenings where everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
With good links to public transport and with only a five minute walk into the local town, individuals can enjoy local community and leisure amenities either independently or in groups. This includes sports and social clubs, community discos, attending day centres and pursuing their own choice of interests.
Some individuals attend local colleges to learn new skills and the team encourage appropriate work opportunities in the local area and help support confidence with using public transport.
Family members are a big part of life at Brighton Road.
