The Brambles has ten bedrooms, four on the ground floor and six upstairs. The team are very conscientious, warm-hearted and committed to helping individuals to be as independent as possible and part of their local community.

Each individual has a person centred support plan which outlines how they would like to be supported and is tailored to their needs and abilities and the goals that are important to them. They are supported to do as much as they can; to manage their personal finances, use public transport with or without support, develop their daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, washing and gardening and take on their own responsibilities in the running of the home.

Plenty of activities take place in the home and nearby local day centre which people can be a part of as much as they wish to. This includes Karaoke, pamper nights, gardening, baking and themed events at Christmas, Easter and Birthdays where friends and family are always warmly welcomed.

The nearby towns of Wellingborough and Kettering are easily accessible by public transport. Individuals are encouraged to enjoy leisure and social opportunities including discos, meals out, swimming, shopping, day trips, the gym, bowling and cinema.

Some individuals also attend the local college and have jobs in the local area whilst others are supported to go on holidays abroad. Achievements and successes, large and small are always celebrated.

Views & Opinions

“The staff have a good attitude, they are helpful and friendly. Working there seems more than a job to some of them.”

Relative – Quote from CQC Inspection Report - May 2018

“I am always kept informed of things and they contact me before any reviews of the care plan so feel involved; “[Name of registered manager] is very good, the difference in [family member] since [registered manager] came is absolutely amazing.”

“[Family member] is always out busy doing things.”

“People have the right to make choices for themselves, sometimes you may not think it is the right choice but if that is the person’s choice we respect their decision.”
