How we are committed to ensuring accessibility online

Consensus Support Services provide specialist, tailored support and accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs including Prader-Willi Syndrome. We support opportunity, choice and success for all individuals in our services and as such, we are committed to ensuring an accessible and inclusive experience for all visitors to our website too. We are continually improving the accessibility and functionality of our service and making reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010.

How we are meeting the requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2

Text Size

Text size and spacing can be adjusted using our assistive toolbar, or by using your own browser settings.

Font Style

Font style can be changed by using our assistive toolbar, including open-dyslexic font.

Colour and Contrast

Background, text and image colours and contrast can be adjusted throughout the site using our assistive toolbar. Background colours can be removed by this function.


Images have been give alternative text for use with screen readers and other assistive technology.

Headings and Subheadings

Headings and subheadings have been used throughout to provide structure and clarity to the content.

Visual Content

Video content has an option for closed-captions where possible and does not contain flashing lights. Any scrolling content can be stopped with a cursor.


Written content can be translated into over 100 languages including 35  text to speech voices via the assistive toolbar.

Screen Reading

Screen reading can be accessed by our accessibility toolbar, this can be set to automatic or by selection. Alternatively most content should be compliant with most screen-reading software.

Accessibility Issues

Consensus have been made aware that some users using keyboard-only navigation may not have full functionality of the site. We are also aware of issues with screen-readers not being able to read text featured in certain images.
