Consensus was established in 2005 to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The people we support may also have additional physical and cognitive needs, including dual diagnosis, sensory-perceptual issues, behaviours which others might find challenging, and visual and hearing impairment.
For more than a decade our business and reputation have continued to grow; our founders, Paul and Helena Jeffery, still own the business today. As part of the larger Caring Homes Group, Consensus offers the best of all worlds: the caring and intimate approach of a family-owned business combined with the stability and reassurance of a large organisation.
Since we started out, our commitment to delivering the highest standard of specialist support has led to us win many awards. What’s more, our people are among the best and most dedicated in the sector: trusted by individuals, families, local authorities and commissioners alike to deliver the best in personalised care in bespoke settings.
Meet the Consensus
Our close-knit senior management team have many years of experience between them of managing mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Social care is a demanding, commercially-focused and fast moving sector, and the team has an impressive track record in delivering successful, sustainable services.
Opportunity. Choice. Success.
Living by our values
For everyone at Consensus, our values are what unite and guide us to deliver the best for the individuals we support. Our fundamental aim is to support opportunity, choice and success, and our values enable us to do this every day.
Consensus is committed to delivering the highest possible standard of service to the individuals we support, to their families and to the commissioners we work with. We have robust clinical governance procedures in place to safeguard our high standards and continually strive to improve and enhance what we do. Our specialist Continuous Improvement Group promotes this across our organisation.
Regulators and audits
Social care is a fast changing sector and heavily regulated. This is as it should be, and our teams receive regular training to ensure they’re up to date on the latest legislation and guidance, and what that means for how they work, and how they support the individuals in our services.
Memberships and awards
We are only able to provide superb support to so many people thanks to our dedicated and talented team of care and support workers, specialists and managers. We’re proud of the great outcomes our people help to achieve and we enjoy showcasing their work in national and regional awards.
