Two new faces added to Consensus Support team
Eddie Morgan (Operations Director) and David Watson (Head of Partnerships & Development – South Region) have joined the team, adding further expertise to the management team of the national specialist services provider, as noted by Managing Director James Allen: ‘We are pleased to welcome Eddie and David to the team and delighted that they will provide additional capacity and experience to the management of our existing and future services.’
Eddie Morgan brings a wealth of experience to the role. Since graduating in 1995 with a degree in Applied Social Studies, Eddie has dedicated his career to the social care sector and having held a variety of roles from Support Worker to Managing Director, he enjoys the many challenges that care offers and thrives in an environment where he has the opportunity to transform so many lives.
Eddie’s passion lies in getting to know an organisation top to bottom, which means meeting his staff, getting their feedback and ensuring they feel valued. He attributes his hands-on attitude to the fact that he has ‘risen through the ranks’ himself and therefore understands the need to plan for the future of social care as a whole.
David Watson has been working with people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and physical disabilities for over 25 years. He says he joined Consensus ‘due to the commitment shown by the organisation to providing people with services that are based around the individual and their unique needs.’ Having begun his career as a care assistant,
David has also amassed a wealth of practical experience working ‘hands-on’ and managing residential homes, supported living, supported employment, day and education services across the NHS, Local Authorities and in the private and voluntary sectors. In this time, he has been involved in a great deal of service development and change management of both direct services and broader strategic changes to public services and commissioning organisations.
Consensus Support operates around 85 specialist learning disability services across the UK and the appointments coincide with recent celebrations across the company as the Caring Homes Group celebrated ‘20 years of great care and support.’
