48 The Grove praised for empowering and enabling people with complex needs to aim high and succeed in life

We are delighted to share that 48 The Grove, in Isleworth, Middlesex, which specialises in residential support and accommodation for up to eight people with learning disabilities and complex needs, is celebrating having been rated as ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Operated by Consensus, 48 The Grove was praised by inspectors, for providing a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service.

Inspectors reported that the service was committed to providing good care, stating that; “People’s care was based around their individual goals and their specific personal needs and aspirations. People with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge, were being empowered and enabled to feel a part of their community. People using the service were encouraged to aim high and to succeed in life. All people were given opportunities to do so.”

Inspectors continued; “During the inspection we saw that staff treated people with

respect and respected their privacy. They were able to tell us about the people using the service and knew about their life histories, family members and significant events. Staff were gentle, empathetic and patient with people, assisting them to move about the home and take part in activities they chose.”

And then added; “People’s care was based around their individual goals and their specific personal needs and aspirations. People with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge, were being supported to feel a part of their community, and to achieve their goals and more.”

Sorin Ciociu, Service Manager for 48 The Grove, said; “I am extremely proud that our team have a shared clear vision to respect individual choice and promote inclusion, rights and independence. Every day we enable people to make choices in their lives and are delighted that the inspectors noted people were supported in a caring and inclusive way and rated us as ‘Good’ overall.”

48 The Grove, located in Isleworth, is a large, converted residential property that provides a good standard of accommodation for people using the service. The property is spacious, with a range of communal areas. Each person has their own bedroom with ensuite facilities.
