Kingarth

Kingarth operates in partnership with Consensus offering a unique service specification designed by experienced care professionals in consultation with individuals using the service. Kingarth offers seven specialist short to medium term placements for adults with learning disabilities who have found themselves, or are at risk of finding themselves in conflict with the criminal justice system.

Located in the Greater Manchester area, close to a town centre with good access to the transport network, Kingarth has been specifically designed to bridge the gap between community living and secure services. Conceived by a team of practitioners with many years experience in the field and inspired by conclusions of the Bradley Report, Kingarth is the UK’s first community based Residential Forensic Step Up/Step Down service to operate under the CQC’s Registered with Nursing category.
