Chris' story
My name is Chris and I suffer from Prader-Willi Syndrome. I moved into a Consensus home in January 2007 after seeing their services featured on a television programme. On the programme, I saw how Consensus helped people change from being overweight to healthy and independent. I decided that I wanted this for myself, and so arranged to move to a home in my area.
Consensus has worked hard with me to make my life better. I have now made new friends, and I socialise more. My life would never have been the same if I had not come to live at this facility. It is good to live here and it has helped me lose weight. I can now do activities such as swimming, going to the gym and college, and going on trips out. Thanks to Consensus, I also completed a sponsored walk and raised £240. This is something I never thought I would be able to do because of my weight, and the fact that I am not able to breathe properly.
