Ty Hendy offers accommodation for 17 individuals with learning disabilities who may also have early onset dementia.  Ty Hendy provides a self contained unit with eight bedrooms; each bedroom is en-suite with direct-dial telephones, memory boxes, open fronted furniture and sensor operated bathroom lights. In addition, there are also five self- contained flats with en suite facilities, kitchen, direct-dial telephones and internet access. The service also offers respite care for four individuals in a self contained respite facility located on the same site. Ty Hendy is light and airy and has three self contained gardens set in beautiful grounds. There is a dedicated activities room and various lounges. Individuals are encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests. Evening therapies are offered, such as yoga, aromatherapy, music therapy and reflexology through qualified practitioners. People using the service enjoy a variety of activities such as garden games, discos, karaoke, indoor games, BBQ’s, cinema visits and swimming.
