Smugglers Barn offers accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities and further complex needs including autistic spectrum condition, aspergers syndrome and epilepsy. The accommodation at Smugglers Barn is contained within a beautiful early 18th century building providing four en-suite bedrooms that can be personalised by each individual to reflect their tastes and styles. Set in the outskirts of Crawley Down village, Smugglers Barn offers stunning views across the Sussex countryside. There is excellent access to local bus services and the local railway station is a five minute car journey away. Smugglers Barn is set within four acres of grounds where there is ample opportunity for people to engage in gardening, animal husbandry and a wide range of outdoor pursuits. There is also an on-site activity centre where individuals can enjoy various pursuits including art, karaoke, reading and more. Alternatively, Crawley is a 10 minute drive away and offers a wide range of amenities and facilities to inspire and engage. Individuals using the service can enjoy a range of volunteer work and are also supported to seek full time employment in the local community. The service has its own transport for taking individuals on day trips and visits and supports each individual to actively engage in community life.
