Consensus strengthen the team in Wales
Consensus, which provides accommodation and tailored support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, across the UK, has announced the appointment of Phil McFarlane into the newly created role of Supported Living Manager, Wales.
Phil has been involved in Social Care for over 25 years, starting out as a volunteer with PHAB a charity that is dedicated to the integration of people with physical disabilities.
His career has included roles such as Support Team Manager, Operations Manager and a Contract Manager for eight years overseeing ten supported living situations and a floating support service for approximately 50 supported individuals with learning difficulties / mental health issues.
Having more recently worked as an assessor, Phil has returned to supported living which is where he is happiest and already says he is thoroughly enjoying the role.
Phil says; “I strive to bring innovation to any role I am involved with and enjoy a challenge. I am proud of many projects I have taken on but the Rapid Response team I designed to combat the challenges faced when providing support through the night to people that can challenge the service has to be my favourite.”
His focus and interests, when not working include his family, music, writing and films.
