About Us
Consensus was developed from two learning disability services, owned and operated by the Caring Homes group. Since then, Consensus has grown rapidly, under the ethos of ‘Understanding Individuality’.
Consensus Supports over 500 people in nearly 50 locations and employs over 500 staff.
Since its conception, Consensus has achieved a number of key goals:
- Implemented a strong management structure to address operational issues
- Written and developed its own policies and procedures in conjunction with personnel from all levels of the organisation
- Introduced the BILD Quality Network (British Institute of Learning Disability) across all regions and has set about implementing the recommendations made by those who use the services
- Discussion Forums are now being established across the country to create positive, constructive communication between the people using our services, and those delivering them. This will influence decision making and the development of services.
Consensus understands that some people are best served by residential services and are therefore committed to providing specialist high quality levels of support with measurable outcomes for the people that use them.
